The losses to Tech are so traumatic that they loom large in our memories and haunt our burnt orange psyches in a manner that is all out of proportion to their actual frequency (or lack of frequency)

I don’t know where the team is staying, but the Overton Hotel near campus is very good. High 3 star/low 4 star level. Would probably be a solid 4 stars if it was in Houston, Dallas, or NYC.
 
Used to stay out by the airport. I believe we stayed at the Hilton once, but after Brian Millard tried to throw his TV out the window because he got pissed at what Techsters were saying at the pep rally the decision was made to move.

I believe it was a Holiday Inn by the airport.
 
Don't care what hotel, except where our players and coaches don't get harrassed Firiday night, get some sleep AND get breakfast Sat. AM. Remember hotel at aggy road game years ago?

Outside Lubbutock .... how about a decent 3 star hotel in Wofford or hell, a 3-4 star property in Amarillo!!!

Edit: don't think Amarillo has anything close to a 5 star hotel !!

In Sark and CDC I trust.

Brian Millard, met him once while still in school, he was one large dude
 
While he didn't often start, he was always one of my favorite players. He was a big teddy bear talking & signing autographs for the little kids, on the field he had a mean streak about as wide and strong as a High Plains storm. Motor always running.

He remains one of my all-time favorite players
 
I know he is the backup holder, but don't like Card holding for Auburn FG's and PAT's.

Maybe no one else is decent enough, but I dont like the risk... I suspect coaches dont like it either... but alternatives are not good.
 
My youngest graduated from Tech in 21. The drive from Houston to Lubbock is brutal. Was in Lubbock numerous times last 5 years, we stayed either at a Ransom Canyon Airbnb or Levelland.

Ransom Canyon is very cool. There is a Ace Hardware in Levelland.

I can’t talk too bad about Lubbock and Tech, I sent too much money there.

I would not care to live there
