It’s nice to see that they didn’t have to play all world to get a nice win on the road. And we were outrebounded.
This match is a head scratcher.
Nice win for the horns!

They did a lot to disrupt a very tall Tenn team.Crazy to see that Holmes and Collier combined for 8 points. Wow.
For someone who's only been a member of this forum for 3 weeks, you've quickly become the most negative poster on here. That's quite an accomplishment. Wear your badge with pride.Yes, we get to be humiliated on national tv at 12:00noon on Espn2.
As well as a lame duck coach who can’t even fake going through the motions

And from UT "FANS" no less . . .Thanks for the pregame reverse jinx.
She spoke the truth. "Tough love" is sometimes what's needed. What did you want her to say to them at that point -- "You're doing great. Keep doing what you're doing" ?I'll never forget this game at Knoxville from 2 years ago. It was a huge eye-opener for me in terms of clear and obvious deficiencies of coaching. For some reason Karen agreed to be mic'd up for the game, and everything she was heard to say was just super negative talk at her own players ("You look scared!" "They're trying to give you the game, and you don't want it!"). For me personally it was a turning point from optimism and serious concern.
Is there a website that shows +/- for wbb teams? From my POV, our freshman, Celeste Taylor, had a more influential and positive impact on the game than Tennessee’s freshman, Jordan Horston, the #1 recruit in the nation.
I love Celeste’s constant hustle and tenacity. She plays without fear but in control.
Former journalist here. FYI, it is now financially and physically impossible to prepare, print and deliver a newspaper, and there's not much profit to hire staff for online news. CdC can't change that, but he might find a way to generate fan interest as he did for football with promotions ... and other decisions that result in team success. (The way to support local coverage is to buy an online subscription and follow WBB on social media, if not already doing so,)Meanwhile this game didn’t even justify coverage in Austin’s hometown paper. Hopefully once CDC has the football coaching hires handled he can focus on women’s basketball.
Tough.Hey, Moo...I don't need you to critique my posts. I have been following the horns since the mid-90's, so I deserve the right to say what I want. Until today's game, has there really been a lot to crow about other than the Bigs? Nope, thought not. Anyway, you better get to nagging some others because there haven't been very many positive posts in past month.
Never saw this win coming, especially after that lackluster Hawai'i game, but I'll sure take it! WVa beat Miss. State, TCU beat Auburn ... OU? Big 12 had a big weekend, but we've got #1 Stanford up next.Very good individual performances by Sutton, Higgs, and Underwood. It seemed as though KJH did not expect that, and her team wasn't prepared for it either. Clearly their focus was solely on shutting down Holmes and Collier - which they did. But they obviously didn't take into consideration how just how good our guard play COULD be if it ever started to click. Well, it started clicking today.
Quick look at the box score:What I loved was only 8 TOs! Nice game.
I was wondering if maybe Nooner is the one who has gotten the team to use those ball fakes to throw off the defense.I like Coach Nooner standing at the sideline with 5 seconds left in the game and being sure everyone is in the right position. I like Karen allowing him to do so.
Texas’ live stats site does but I guess this being a road game, Tennessee’s was used which doesn’t.Is there a website that shows +/- for wbb teams?
We were very effective in the half court sets today.Quick look at the box score:
Texas - 8 turnovers, which TN cashed in for 4 points
TN - 14 turnovers, which Texas cashed in for 14 points
I didn't watch the game, but the fact that Texas had "only" 8 turnovers is boggling.
You’re welcomeThanks for the pregame reverse jinx.
Don't pay attention to that BS... that person is always trying to find someone new to bully. He/she is a coward and only rears their head when there's something to support their opinion. They need to sit down somewhere and STHU... nobody is scared of their attempt at bullying, and I for one don't give a rat's fat @$$ what they have to say. That was fun. A lot of the pregame posters must be utterly shocked, had written the game off. I wasn't necessarily expecting a win, but was expecting a good game.
You're just mad because she de-throned you in record time.
