Texas vs TCU game thread

IF Herman had the talent of some of the past Olines
would the outcome have been different?
I know it is hard to rebuild and instill new methods on both O and D at once.

I attended the game last night. I estimated probably 8K -10K Horns fans in the stands. Whatever the actual number was, it looked to be a significant increase from the amount that showed 2 years ago for that beat down of a game that Charlie treated us to. Herman could not ask for more support for a road game. The first half of the TCU game 2 years ago was the most inept I’ve ever seen a Texas team look. I don’t know if last night’s performance belongs on any all time lists (except for the 9 yards of total rushing) but it was a complete turd of a game to watch. I’m not trying to be overly dramatic over one game, but that I think the Horns fans did their part by showing up for a road game in numbers, while Herman leaves us wondering how that performance merits his fat $5MM/year paycheck.
EVEN if the OL is young.....they are playing and practicing every week since August....and I see NO improvement....ZERO!

Come on guys, did anyone else see how often TCU had the exact defense set for the play we had called? All that stopping and looking to the sideline, big deal. Even my layman expertise could see they very often had exactly the right defensive alignment for the play,, i.e., our scheme played right to them. Don't know honestly if Boo couldn't or just didn't change out of an obvious catastrophe. Yeah our OL is weak but for the $$$ we're spending there should be inventive options to counter effectively.

That is annoying. Does any DC actually get fooled by that? TCU ran real tempo early in the game. I wonder why we can't do that. And I am sick of the rapid fire hand claps to signal the snap.

During the game, @bystander witnessed Foreman drop a pass. He made what I guess is a tongue in cheek comment about Foreman's dad and his tweeting.

Since I don't make comments during game threads pointing out dropped passes, I wouldn't say that I made an unfair comment above about Foreman. All I did, again, was point out a possible reason why TH did not play Foreman earlier in the season.

The point, too, is that Foreman's dad acted inappropriately tweeting the things he did. I'm sure many other posters here share that opinion. I am guessing @bystander does, thus his in-game comment.

Exactly. I'm not down on the kid just like I'm not down on Lonzo Ball. I just don't respect the helicopter narcissism of the Dad's that put unnecessary drama into the mix.

Defense has a lot of returning starters with many two plus returning letterman. Offensive line decimated by injury. You can practice all you want since August but if it's your first season out there every play, you're learning by fire...

Not without a QB who can read the defense and/or one that holds the ball long enough for pizza to be delivered.

This is not a shot at Shane, because both QBs are guilty of both infractions.
