Texas vs Southern 12/4/2022

Hmm. Wasn’t aware I said anyone criticized anyone. In fact, I’m pretty sure I was agreeing with someone. But if you actually go back and read earlier posts you might see why I posted what I did. But… “once again”…you do you. :tap:
You agreed with the post that said everyone who is saying Vic should be doing this or that should just "chill". Chill as in you're being over-reactive, you're panic stricken, you said something that was knee-jerk, etc. It really is a most invalidating term.

It's only invalidating if you allow it to be. Good grief.

And besides, there was more to that post. Maybe he was agreeing with the last sentence which simply stated "The sky is not falling", or with the assessment of Andrea Lloyd's commentary.

Vic was obviously answering a question about Taylor's status at the end when he said "It's kinda another stress deal" and she'll be evaluated weekly. Taylor had an IG story up for a short time yesterday that (if I remember correctly) said something like needing to be patient when it was hard to understand things that were part of God's plan. Maybe someone here remembers it better than me? But my concern was that she was getting concerned about the injury keeping her sidelined for awhile.

Yep, she had the shoulder, then a leg injury early this season, and now this. Makes one wonder how much she'll actually be able to play. I hope she gets past it.

Well, Sangre I guess Bobcat and some of the rest of us see things differently from you.

Ok after watching this game and breaking it down a few things I seen and heard. Lloyd goes to practice and has inside info and is backing up what Vic is saying. In my opinion Sonya does need to be freed up a lil bit because you do need her scoring but she isn’t quite locked in to his defensive style 100% yet and that’s the way to Vic heart. Shaylee is coming around even tho it does seem like she is a half step slower but she starting to get it. Rori is coming but I would like her to play a lil more like HS Rori or similar to NCState Diamond Johnson. She can score and we need her to so it’ll open up everybody game but I ain’t gonna rush it. I can tell she trying to steady her team as a PG. Deyona is over playing I counted 4 times where she let the offensive player have space to try block shots and it’s giving up a basket or she fouling for seating so hard. She needs to steady out cause I can see what Vic sees in her and she could be a matchup nightmare. AMo something has to give she can’t stay on the floor to play. I would send a message to D and AMo this week against asu but he won’t because in portal times you have to be a lil more cautious. Tbh Faye and Muhammad out played both of them in my opinion because both of them stay on the floor so I would start them. Shay has to look for her shot a bit more it’s like she’s playing to not get taken out almost. Vic needs to free them up a bit more when he had those good team in state he gave them a bit more freedom. Vivians and Johnson and his daughter seemed to loose but tight on D. Tell me if yal agree or disagree with anything

I’m sure it’s hard for coaches trying to implement a winning method of playing basketball by requiring players to follow a strict plan, but at the same time not destroying their natural free flowing talent and confidence that allowed them to become the great players they all are. We all remember TJ having a little heart to heart with the Ricktator. It’s a tricky balance that the portaloo has made even trickier….

Exactly. I agreed with someone who posted something. And then offered my opinion about setting up a system based on one or two players. Then I responded to someone who indicated that we had previously had a conversation about this which we hadn’t. Which part did I get wrong? The agreeing or the offering of an opinion? Or was it simply that I agreed with someone who posted something that wasn’t unanimously agreed upon? I looked in the box but the rules seemed to have gone missing. Anyone know how this game is played?

WCBBNUT, it was my opinion that Bobcat got miffed about the "chill" contents. But, I've been wrong before.

Finally watched the game this afternoon. Although the level of competition was not among the best, I did see some improvements. Yes we shot the ball better, etc. but what stood out to me is that there seemed to be much less confusion especially on the offensive end. It seems like the new players are starting to "get it." We've got one more against a weaker team on Sunday, but let's see what happens next week when we have two games away from the Moody Center against much better competition in JSU and USC. I'm optimistic.
