Texas vs. OU sux series

Was that just a brain fart by Galvan? Was he supposed to do that?

In no world does a catcher throw down in this situation. The number of mistakes in this game by the Horns is astounding. And I'm not being dramatic. I suppose the Friday night curse continues.

Loss

Story of the night——-5 ERRORS. And they were costly resulting in around 5 runs.

9-4 OU final.

The Horns played right into the normal Friday expectations.

Now if weather doesn't screw things up we're in for a great Saturday! :hookem:

The double-headers so far this weekend have been back-to-back 9-inning games. Anyone happen to know if the rules are different for a Sunday double-header? For example, will one of today's games only be 7 innings?

In olden times the 2nd game was always 7 innings but these days IDK.

Interestingly TX/OU played a weather related double header last year too but on Saturday to get ahead of weather.

I looked around and the only guidelines I found stated it could either be two 9 inning games, one 9 and one 7 or two 7 inning games. I think its up to the teams playing and if there are other circumstances like travel or weather that would require shortening one or both games.

That ball squirts to the backstop cause Schuessler is on one knee and can’t get his left knee down to block it :deadhorse: :soapbox:

And runner moves up to scoring position as a result. I’m not sure that’s a WP. As I’m typing this, because of the poor fundamentals by the catcher on one knee, run scores.

And guess what?? Because Schuessler was NOT on his knees, (runners on 1st and 3rd) the runner on third KNEW we were going to throw down to 2nd, runner gets a good jump and scores on the throw down. Cant believe this ****. This is on Pierce!!

Ace has done enough so far to keep us in it though. Haven't looked to see how they scored that ball to the backstop but it should be a passed ball in my opinion, not a wild pitch.

What game are you watching? That is not what happened at all. Ace threw to 1st then Borba went to 2nd for what was a tag out not called correctly. Only after Borba threw to 2nd did the runner on 3rd head for home. Stop trying to fire Pierce for every little thing cuz its not up to you.
