Texas vs OU, game 2

Horns leaving the OU shooters open while they collapse on Robinson. That's a recipe for disater. OU has too many good 3pt shooters to do that. And Robinson is excellent at finding them.

Be careful, loop basically called me a troll last week for expressing much the same sentiments....

Well an off game tonight. Baylor had an off game too. Learn some lessons and move on because it's very important that we beat Iowa.

91-62 OU. Big ouch. Time to get ready for ISU, a suddenly much more important game, given the way they played today.

The men losing just made this a bad weekend all the way around. Course Tech winning over Baylor does make me laugh.

Come on, Horns. Beat ISU Monday.

Dallas. Your ignorance of the program is pretty apparent. Maybe you can become a fan for SMU or TCU and leave the big league thinking to us.

Coach G is overrated. And to think Plonsky deserves a raise is questionable. I'm with you Dallas, the level of denials here is beyond ridiculous!
I bet Texas loses to Iowa State on Monday. I expect an thrashing by Tech when they come to Austin.

TEXAS.

Where mediocrity is the standard.

Yeah, I can see where that "big league thinking" has gotten us.
I think "We're Texas" means something different to me than it does to you.

Guess we all need to "agree to disagree"....

This game was a disappointment, for sure...I know Coach G is really po'd at the team...they just did not step up..

I liked what Dan Hughes said....hope his prediction works out...

The Link

This was the worst loss in series history. Cokie is hurt, recruits are on the way. Everything is OK

Seattle and Dallas take heed. I was previously rebuked for asking why Meghan Simmons chose Tenn. Was told by jusme that if I kept up with WBB I would not ask stupid questions.

Seattle I have been wondering where you have been, but have to say that I haven't missed you one bit while the Horns were having a little run of wins. You might want to consider changing your screen name because you don't seem to be for UT at all.

Go Horns!

Thats why I am in Seattle and not Portland. Your city is just as bad as the Longhorns. To see the effort of the team yesterday deserves a bout of deserved criticism from top to bottom. Sherri
Coale was right on that her team had intestinal fortitude and I bet she was pleased to have UT "blown out of the water."

Seattle4UT and dallastx have not said one damn thing positive about the program (yeah, I've gone back to look at your past posts). They only post when we lose. Never congratulate any of the current or incoming players on achievements or awards. or even make a positive comment when the team wins. Only negative comments when they lose.

Yeah, Seattle is so much better than PDX. In my 11 years in PDX, we have been to Seattle to stay overnight one time---to see the Longhorns play in a regional tournament. The only thing good about Seattle is that once you're through it you know you're halfway to Vancouver, B.C.!

Go Horns! Beat Iowa State!

Statalyzer, I would like to see your analysis of our recruiting in the GG years and how we compare to the other top teams in the conference and the country. Are you game?

I find it hilarious that anyone defends trashing the program rather than the game. It serves no purpose except to expose your lack of pride in the team you claim to support.

Fact - We already shook things up within our program. And G was pretty matter of fact that she would need 3-5 years to get the program where it needed to be. We are in year four. So the pressure is on.

A very strong argument can be (and has been made) that if not for Reed's injury this would have most likely been a breakout year for the team. I'd be on the doom and gloom wagon with you except I'm smart enough to look down the road. You can say I've got my head in the sand just as easily as I could say you have yours up something else... But what the hell good does that do. Every major sports writer or sports analyst that has looked at our program has said we'd be foolish not to give G more time. Why? Because they are looking down the road. Maybe you could comment on that rather than spewing the chicken little crap?

But I won't hold my breath because I suspect you are not actually a fan of this particular school much less this team. Is it sour grapes from years past or have you just fabricated the entire UT fan stuff?

Wasn’t surprised to find this stuff here when I logged in. Haters gonna hate. Not much you can do about that.

That was not a good performance by UT. And, at a glance I haven’t seen anyone claim that it was. It was the type game you sometimes get when the majority of the PT goes to freshmen.

It stings. But, it is far from the end of the world.

People who are paying attention see the progress and direction of this basketball program. No message board words are going to convince the people who don’t want to see any positives.

This will be a more meaningful conversation about a year from now. Until then I’m just going to enjoy watching some basketball.

yeah, nobody is happy about the way the team played against OU. I thought a loss was possible but so was a win. I certainly did not expect to see the team play the way they did.

But the team needs to let it go and concentrate on winning tonight. Like defensive backs in football and pitchers in baseball/softball, they need short memories and to not let a bad game carry over and cause them another loss.

Until the season is over, I will let the previous game go, win or loss, and focus on the upcoming one. I'm really glad that BB is more of a distance race rather than a sprint where one loss can mess up your entire season.

Yeah the loss was tough! But if you look at the players they had coming into the season, when C.Reed went out hurt. They really have not overall did a bad job.Now I know we are TEXAS. But real Texas fans has to have sum patience. And understanding not only the present team, but the future recruits that are coming in. Next several years. I am very disappointed to see suppose to be fans to be so negative. Its ok to discuss things that the team do wrong sumtimes. But its a way to do it. I agree with a poster on here. If you are not a fan that is posting positives things when the team doing well. Why would you post negative things when the team dont win.
I want to see where the negative posters are next year. If no one gets injury next year. They will end up a Top 10 team.
