The link from Friday's game should still work
for today. It may not start working till about
10 minutes before game time.

Trying to again take a series we have to have.
This time it's necessary to try to stay at least
in 2nd place in the conference with Baylor
still to play.

Texas fails to score again because we can't execute
small ball.

Payton leads off with an infield single, Weis is hit by a pitch, but Walsh pops up the bunt.

Felts flies out which would have been a SF with a
successful bunt. Silver K's to end the inning.

Now Jacquez is ill it seems and can't start the game after warming up and Curtis comes in.

So we use up an arm without even throwing a
pitch, what else can go wrong?

Why do you say ill? Was he injured?
Jacquez warmed up, then walked off the mound, and now John Curtis will warm up and pitch.
If French is injured, and now Jacquez, we are wiped out for tournament play.

Well so far we are crapping our pants trying to
score. This time Etier with a lead off walk.

We get the sac down and Lusson walks.
But Shaw K's and Payton grounds out.
No score to the bottom of the 2nd.

Curtis works around a lead off single, a HBP, and a
wild pitch to retire Mizzou without scoring.

Still no score after 2 complete.

Finally Texas breaks through on a lead off walk
by Weis, Walsh gets the bunt down this time, wild
pitch gets him to third.

Then Felts singles him home and steals second.
Etier walks with two outs. Now Marlow walks to
load the bases. Pitching change for Mizzou.

Lusson flies out to end the inning.
Texas leads 1-0 to the bottom of the 3rd.

Curtis works around two one out walks this time
to keep Missouri scoreless.

Texas leads 1-0 after 3 complete.

With some Missouri help Texas scores again.
Shaw leads off with a walk, Payton lays down
the bunt and the pitcher throws it away.

Shaw goes to third on the play, Weis scores him
on a SF, Walsh is hit by a pitch, Felts flies out
and the runners move up. But a ground out ends
the inning.

Texas leads 2-0 to the bottom of the 4th. We have
stranded 9 runners so far. Just can't get the big
hit.

Story of this season, no clutch hits to blow open games requiring the Horns staff to be perfect and unlike last year, Texas just doesnt have that staff this season.

Lead off infield single for Missouri, another single,
then a three run homer to right.

Just like that Missouri takes the lead 3-2 still batting
with no outs in the 4th.

That's all for Curtis and to nobody's surprise here
comes Milner for the third day in a row.

Milner gives up a single, they bunt him up, a grounder
moves him to third and a single scores him.

Come backer finally ends the inning.
Missouri now leads 4-2.

Milner retires the sided in order with the help of
a nice running catch in the right center gap by
Payton.

Missouri leads 4-2 after 5 innings.

With one out Payton hits a high fly ball down the
left field line that just stays fair for a homer.

Weis and Walsh single and then a double steal
moves them along.

But Felts K's and Silver flies out to right.
We strand two more and Missouri leads
now 4-3 as weather is moving in it seems.

Knebel comes in and retires the side in order.
to the 7th Missouri leads 4-3.

Etier pops out and Missouri is going to their closer.

Lusson walks and Shaw K's.

Missouri leads 4-3 at stretch time.

This team can be very frustrating at times
and unfortunately those times are increasing.

Getting ugly now a lead off double is followed by
two singles to score a run. Then Knebel misplays a
bunt and another single has scored two runs.

Then Knebel retires the next three batters to
end the inning.

Missouri now leads 6-3 after 7.
That's a big lead to overcome for this team
when we go into one of our hitting funks.
Maybe Missouri will help out some.

Payton does reach on an error. An out later two
singles load the bases. Silver K's looking on a
pitch right down the middle. Etier walks to
score a run and Marlow finally gets the big
hit we needed to tie the game at 6 all

Pitching change for Missouri, the runs are
all unearned, but they still count.
Need one more to take the lead for Knebel.

Lusson lines out to first because the first baseman
was holding on the runner or its down the line for
a double.

To the bottom of the 8th tied at 6.
Knebel still on the hill.

Knebel retires the side in order.
To the 9th tied at 6 all.

We really need to score here as extra innings
would not be good as all we have left in
the pen is Dicharry and Bellows.

Weis doubles with two outs and Walsh walks.
Then Felts hits a hard ground ball down the
line that the third baseman dives and fields
and then beats Weis to the bag for the last
out.

Still tied at 6 to the bottom of the 9th.

Knebel gives up a one out single. The runner is
caught stealing on a close play. No replays so
who knows, the coach came out to argue.
Then a pop up ends the inning.

Extra innings with Knebel working multiple
innings, I think I have seen this movie before.

Silver walks and Summers pinch runs for him.
Etier bunts him up. Then two hard ground outs
to second end the inning.

Still tied to the bottom of the 10th.
Knebel against the world still.

Knebel gives up a walk, but nothing more. A fly ball
to the base of the wall was scary.

To the 11th still tied at 6.
