Coach G stressed that rebounds would be the difference, and it was...Kat Nash's double-double was great, but Raven is MVP of Tournament..

Looks like the bench contributed pretty well. If I am reading the box score correctly we had three starters that went a combined 3-18 from the floor?
 
Yeah, TXtoCO, Coach G got irritated @ the starters after we got down right off 4 - 0, and put in all 5 from bench....they came in and got the Party started!!

But, stats you mentioned can't be right since Kat had a double-double??

Hard for me to believe coach subbed out the whole team. But I'm glad she did. Play by play at the 17:21 mark Coach subbed out all the starters. 13:46 AG came in for Reed. 13:04 Britt came in for Anderson.

I wonder what is wrong with Erika. Ever since her knee injury...she never recovered. It has got to be hard on her knowing that she was the #1 player out of high school.
 
Great win for the Ladies! I was worried about this game. Hopefully, it transitions into momentum.

GG's plan for this program is going to take time. I hope people realize that.
 
Right, Pancho, it will take time, and patience IS a virtue that some of us don't have....(me included at times)

As for Erika, she has been in pain for several years, but is now getting better...but a few games ago she scored like 22 points....she was just RAINING three's....seems she does better off the bench than starting, and I think sometimes she puts too much pressure on herself....she even said after the 22 point game that she just was so tired from the trip to the Virgin Islands that she wasn't really thinking about her shots as much.....

Cuernos, don't let the numbers fool you, Erika is having a major impact on the team. Although her FG pct is down she's a major threat to knock down jumpers anywhere on the court and teams have been and will continue to respect that. Because of that respect the lanes are opening up for B-Rave and there is a little less focus on KAT.
 
Don't forget her ability to pass the ball to the open shooter. Erika is outstanding there and is showing that skill this year more so than any other that I recall. Moreso than her shooting, I think her passing is her best trait. Others do have to respect her shooting, though, cause she can be so good and that does open up others as earlier mentioned.
 
You are right, BAB....I didn't even think about that aspect of her game...she IS the best passer we have had in a long time....Carla was good, but I think Erika is really terrific, and sees the court better than anyone...
