Texas vs Maryland

Imani's response when they asked about the comment was perfect. She is so relaxed in interviews, and I love that her personality always shines through. It sounds like the Horns know exactly what they have to do, and I guess we'll know in a few hours if it turns out that way. Feeling good! Let's go, Horns!

gotta keep an eye on Mincy. That's two 3s in a row she has hit. Good to see Brady getting to the FT line. Getting balanced scoring from so far.
 
alright. four pt swing, good d and Brady shooting FTs to tie it up. Horns will be in the double bonus with the next Maryland foul. TOs even at six apiece.
 
dang, gave up six quick pts in the last minute and a half. But tied up 31 all. Empress is on fire from BTA. Horns need to keep getting to the FT line. Nobody in double figures but Empress with nine, Nneka and Chas with 7 and Brady with 6.
 
Being tied at halftime on the road is okay.

But, we were up 28-22 with a chance to go up 29-22 on a second free throw. Instead, free throw is missed and Maryland goes on a 9-3 run, mainly due to our mistakes.

Alyssa Thomas not scoring for Maryland is a testament to our defense. We need Imani or Kelsey to come alive in the second half to help Nneka down low; can't become a jump-shooting team in the second half.
 
Agree, we need to keep up the strong defense in the second half, and have Imani, Nneka and Nekia put some points on the board. It's a good sign that we're tied with Imani only scoring two points in the half. We can definitely win this one....let's go, Horns!!
 
they keep talking about how Maryland is tied without Thomas scoring. Got news for them, Imani only has two more pts than Thomas. That's one reason both have deep benches. It comes down to the next 20 minutes.

My God STOP FOULING. Every friggin' time. Geez. We've abandoned the inside game. And please, Sanders, stop. Seriously. Just stop.
 
Now we're just fouling every time on defense. That's a sure recipe for losing. I hate when I see Texas go to this desperation game. Foul. Then transition to offense and just start throwing it up and hope for this best.
And....Brenda Freese is a mouth breather. That's all I got at this point.

Imani is playing terrible thus far and as predicted our TO's are killing us. I expected us to win this game so there will be no moral victories.
