A pop foul is caught on a nice play by Ty Marlow as he reaches over the fence and brings it in for out one.

Peters remains in the game and an easy one hopper to short is out one by the lead hitter.

Next man lays down a bunt on the third base side and Carter comes charging and bare hands it and throws across his body for the out. Nice play is out two.

A walk puts a man on first with two away.

Skip out again to the mound, but Peters stays in.

A liner to the gap in right is a double and the runner from first just keeps coming and nobody on the Texas defense seems to notice and he scores to make it 2-1.

Peters K's the hitter looking to end the inning, but Kansas with a gift run as the Horn defense just falls asleep not expecting the Jayhawk runner to keep going.

It cuts the Texas lead in half now 2-1 after seven.

Next man singles up the middle to put the tying run on.

A grounder on the left side is cut off by Carter who on the run makes the throw to second and the relay is in time for the inning ending 5-4-3 double play.

Really needed that. It looked like Knebel warming in the pen and if it is, you got to believe he will pitch the ninth.

To the ninth Texas leads 2-1 and the Jayhawk starter is still on the mound.

Ty Marlow leads off the ninth and pops out to second for out one.

Felts grounds one deep in the hole fielded by the short stop, but it's an infield hit.

Carter swings at one in the dirt and grounds out to third as Felts advances to second.

B. Marlow with a chance for a big insurance run grounds right back to the pitcher to end the inning and the Kansas starter goes the full nine.

Texas leads 2-1 and it's Peters back out again, makes me wonder about Knebel again.

Peters still battling out there and K's the first man swinging for out one.

A sharp line drive is snagged by Hinojosa for out two.

A single up the middle puts the tying run on.

A ground ball to short goes 6-4 to end the game.

Peters really gutted it out the last few innings, he went mostly to breaking stuff as he was obviously tired as he threw 120
pitches in the game.

That's either a change in strategy or Knebel may have a virus or something as it looked like he was in the pen warming up.

Anyway it's a big win 2-1 on another gem by Peters who is becoming the most reliable Horn pitcher it seems.

Really have to win tomorrow and take this series to keep the conference record in somewhat good shape.

Thanks, NBHorn7, for the updates.

I was away from a radio and from a computer for most of the game, so it was nice to catch up with the action when I got back home.
