I think people clamoring for middle of the field throws don't understand our personnel. Oliver might be the only one they trust to catch anything and take a hit. But our line isn't great at gap control either. Buechele would probably throw it right into a DE.

the issue is that ignoring the middle allows a big area that the defense can ignore therefore they are able to overload the line and the outside. I can't believe that the players we brought it can't catch a ball while taking a hit. And it doesn't have to be frequent, just enough to be a credible threat that the defense has to account for.
