The win let's Texas squeeze out a winning regular season at 26-25. The Horns take the series 2-1.
Johnston looked good and shows you the pitcher he could be, if he can command his pitches.
The offense comes to life, with the long ball leading the way. Hinojosa has four dingers in the series. Texas can go weeks sometimes, without getting that many as a team, even with the new ball.
You have to be honest though, and remember this is Baylor and they aren't good. Funny how the bats come alive against Kansas and Baylor pitching. Somehow that didn't happen against a good team like Tech in Austin. I guess that's why they beat up the bad teams and go 2-10 against the top four teams.
Speaking of Texas Tech, the Horns will start the Big 12 Tournament against them at 9 am. on Wednesday morning. They will need the bats to hit good pitching and score some runs. Texas has to win that game, there not coming through the losers bracket to win.
It's been a long and mostly disappointing season this year. You have one more chance to turn it around. It's a very long shot, as now your also in TCU's division. The Frogs are by far, the best team in the conference and up to #2 in the nation now. You will probably have to beat them to twice, to get to the championship game.
