Texas vs Aggie

doesn't Kat have 3 pts instead of 5 if they took away the FTs? Doesn't make a difference really. FTs are going to make this look worse than it is, if possible.

The refs for the women's games suck. Always. The pudgy blonde is clueless. She should be fired. We've seen blow calls time and time again. Delaying a game for 11 minutes is inexcusable unless someone is on the floor bleeding or dying. Shame on these pathetic officials.
 
i still don't understand what happened. but i'm pissed! that kind of mistake shouldn't happen in a Big 12 conference game. figure it out!

from what i got, they called a foul on aggie that counted as the 7th foul and gave the horns a 1-1. made both. then determined that wasn't actually the 7th foul??? so they took the 2 points off the board.

more than anyone, I want to run into aggie in the Big 12 tourney. Texas needs to beat them down.
 
I hope Erika's knee gets better quick. We could have used her ball handling and shooting today. She had a good game against aggie in Austin.
 
question then - it was obviously still a foul on A&M (just not a 1-1 shooting foul). so they took away 2 points and gave A&M the ball? that makes no sense. Texas should have had the ball...that's how it works after a foul is called.

But losing 7 straight to the Aggies and having their coach disrespect us without us getting a win is starting to get old and this sweep hurts us now and has in the past two years hurt us bad in the Lone Star Showdown.
 
agreed we need Erika back. the aggies shut down Kat every time we play them. Erika has a quick release and can shoot the 3 off the dribble. we needed that today, big time.
 
OMG!!! That was absolutely inexcusable from the officials. A 5 pt. game with 3-something minutes left, and they cause a 14 minute delay AND take 2 pts. away from Texas!!???

Can't tell you the number of times that old truism, "It's hard to beat a good team 3 times in the same year" has come back to haunt me as a Longhorn fan during the Big 12 tournament. Now it's our turn to HAUNT the Aggies. There's no way this team will let A & M beat them three times in the same year. I think a victory during the Big 12 tournament against Ag will weigh heavily in the seedings for the NCAA tournament. Bring it on! I also think this loss may motivate this team to WIN OUT. Go Horns!!
 
Started strong out of the gate, looked good, but lost some momentum, then confidence, then composure, then...............

Why can we not keep the foot on the throat of an opponent? We had a lead at the second media timeout of each half and then gave away the rest of the half by getting sloppy in a slowdown.

And yes, the delay was rediculous...made even moreso by the whistle almost as soon as they got the ball back in play.

Even aggy fans sitting all around me readily acknowledged that pudgy was a horrible ref (not that the rest of the crew was much better).
 
I was ready to throw my binoculars at pudgy, and I was sittin' waaaaaaay up in the rafters. She is absolutely HORRIBLE. WTF is her name? ...and if I never hear "AGGIES' ball!!!!!" again, it will be too soon.
 
The pudgy blonde is Melissa Barlow, a bad ref and apparently, she doesn't even know the rules....pure crap, but our turnovers just were ridiculous....
...35 points off of turnovers, and offensive rebound second chances....bad refs or not, that stat is unacceptable...

Okay, time out's over. They played better but still let themselves be rushed and play like they were looking behind them a lot.

Time to put this in the memory banks in case they come up in the front sights again and time to start thinking about the next game.

I had this game down as a L all year so I'm not that upset about it. I still think we are playing light years better than where we were at the beginning of the year and I think we can a.) make the Sweet 16 thanks to the home games the 1st and 2nd rounds and b.) be a dangerous team come tourney time.

While OSU won't be a gimme, I thin this team has started to turn the corner. Coach G wasn't going to make the FF overnight as evident by her first 7 years at Duke....hopefully people have finally understood that.
 
yeah, this was a big question mark for me since this is the only team that seems to make the Horns lose their poise. But I was hoping.

Still have an excellent chance to finish tied for 2 and at least in the top four.
