Yep. Adds that down angle to the drop on the pitch. His fastball has some decent movement and his breaking stuff really breaks. Most importantly, Johnson seems to have his control under control. This guy could really help our bullpen on the weekends here and now—this year.

This is just what we needed. Easy victory in the middle of the week to break up all these tough conference weekend series. Plus a lot of our bullpen got some more experience.

I don’t know why they keep trotting him out there (Duplantier). They must see something or are just pulling for him to get it together or both?? He was the last one I expected to get the start. He needs to hit the off season league and sit the bench for the rest of this season. I’m pulling for him, I really am, he’s wearing burnt orange, just don’t think it’s his year. We have too many other pitchers that need those reps and are closer to helping us out THIS year.
