This team is much like last season - they play above average when they are focused and have their heads in the game. The only difference is this team is actually a younger team - which is how you would expect a young team to react.

Pierce may not have been the best available with his largest contribution so far has been getting the facilities updated and built, but he is comfortably above the Strong/Smart line at this point.

If Horns can make it to Omaha this year (assuming continued improvement), I would say 2 CWS appearances in 4 years meets our expectations.
