Call me pessimistic, but I wasn't all that encouraged by Kasparek's outing. It looked like he was having all sorts of release point trouble and he was completely unable to spot his fastball throughout the game. Baylor's hitters really bailed him out with some terrible swings and plate discipline.

Just call me Debbie Downer.

Thomas looked tough after the first batter smoked the liner in Moldenhauer's direction. That was a great hammer to whiff the last Bear.

Kasparek wasn't great, but this was quite an improvement. He still needs to be able to give us at least 6 innings.
