About to leave for errands and thankfully not have to watch more of this monstrosity, someone else take over this abortion, hopefully things go better than these first two plus innings.
Unfortunately when you win 27 out of 28 games you only have one way to go. You need to be rolling this time of the year not getting swept in 3 games which are not that competitive. It is not the end of world but it will not be easy for Texas to get on another roll like they were on.
So far this weekend, we have been outscored 19-6....it shows that we had nothing to gain...Augie shouldn't have said that we didn't have to win it...the players were obviously listening....now, we've got to get back on the horse...
Dude. :-( Horns load the bases and no outs. Then, Aggie double play then Horn ground-out to end the bottom of the 6th Horn threat. Outta here. Time to go sort some nails. Or something.
Aggies, Missouri and Tech are not exactly cream of the crop teams either. I can see losing but getting dominated by Missouri and the Aggies i do not understand? Team just did not show up ready to play in all 3 games and they should drop in the ratings for this.
Tech had Bettis pitching who is a stud and A&M is one of the hottest teams in the country right now. Not that big a deal losing to these two teams right now.
Must be concerned about three straight loses going into a regional, but two of the games is understandable.
It appears we fans care considerably more about this okc fiasco than anyone wearing a Longhorn baseball uniform!!
I have witnessed what appears to be a "don't care about the Big 12 tourney" attitude before and if memory serves me the regional play following these really poor performances wasn't much better. Someone correct me--make a liar out of me--please!!! I was in okc Thursday afternoon and " we don't care" was pretty obviously to hubby and I~~
C'mon now, this game is far more important to A&M than Texas. The Ags don't wan't to lose four games to Texas. I think we pretty much gave up when we lost the first two games in this tournament.
This is what happens when you have an average hitting team and a top-ranked pitching staff having problems. We better figure out how to score runs and stop making too many errors or we won't win our regional.
Well, the suckage at the "Tournament that doesn't matter" mercifully comes to an end--'Horns lose to Aggy 9-3. On to regionals...I wonder how far the 'Horns fall and whether they'll still get a national seed. I suspect they will, but this is hardly a good way to go into the big tourney.
Virginia came from behind to beat Miami in the ACC Tournament today - all the while knowing that even if UVA won they would not be in the championship game tomorrow. UVA could have mailed it in, putting Miami in the finals. But UVA played like they wanted to keep that top ranking and the first or second national seed going into next week. Different team, apparently different way of looking at the importance of winning.
Reality check--stop making excuses folks! Absolutely correct Texanne-not an ending we will enjoy!!--basketball season revisited!!! And I love the folks on Swap Meet worried about Super Reg. tickets--REALLY!!
