After we wore them down and, because of that, made some big plays then our attitude certainly improved. Whatever it takes I’m good with the win. The utter lack of fire on our part until we were being embarrassed is what bugs me. Play like champions if you wanna be champion.

Great effort by Horns from down 17-7 to stay in game and dominate at least on the scoreboard. Take away that bogus targeting and the defense just had the one drive for FG since the onside kick and double pass. UTSA’s qb was unreal with some of those plays but the Horns didn’t quit and this is a quality solid win. The Bama hangover was real and the physical beating from last week carried over so I can look past the first half and say that the Horns recovered well and showed real heart.

Give it up for Hudson Card for that 30 plus yard run to get out of a 2nd and 22 when this game was still in the balance. Tonight was more evidence that we need Ewers back as soon as possible to compete for the Big XII but Hudson was a gamer and we will need him to keep doing that for at least the next few weeks
