TEXAS-OU Game Thread

Have not read prior posts.

Those of you TV fans that did not see fun post game behavior by our crowd, players, sharing golden hat, etc....

Jordan Whittington picked up the huge white flag with burnt orange Bevo head on it and carried it approx 50 yards and seriously tried to fully plant it on the 50 yard line over the CB logo!!!

Our fans went NUTS!

Very inspiring!! :headbang:

Just back home from the State Fair and game.

That was the most epic butt whoopin we have ever put on anyone. We stomped OU down through the basement, halfway down to China. Our D shut them out. Our OL run and pass blocked well. Ewers connected, and our skills players made the great plays.

Best game vs OU Ever!!!

The Fletcher’s corny dog afterwards tasted better.
The lemonade was both sweeter and more tangy.
The livestock pavilion didn’t smell as bad.
The beer was smoother and more flavorful.
The women were more beautiful.
The weather was more perfect.
Things were right with the World.

Hook ‘em Horns!!!

Something it seemed that we had a lot of success with was:

Unbalanced formation with a TE, H back, and inside receivers all to one side. Then Quinn would roll out or bootleg to the other side and find and connect with open WRs or RBs. The Sooners were befuddled almost every time we did this.

That and my beloved passes to the RBs in the flats and little wheel routes were working well.

WR screens worked well because the other WR(s) on that side blocked so well and for so long.

I told others I was very impressed with play calling by Sark in this game.

Almost 600 yards of Offense. ... now, I realize some will say ou D is bad, perhaps .... but this is ou and it was just short of 600 yards people.

Sark mix of run, pass, play- action were very effective today. OMG, ou had no idea what to expect next play. Cutback runs, pulling linemen and OL double teams opened up huge running lanes.

Q passes were surgical and on target. Except for INT that was maybe the fault of bad route by WR.

Former HB Ted Koy sat on the row in front of me in upper deck west side with family... no I did not bother him. Sadly, he is the last living member of 1969 Wishbone Offense backfield that won the NC.

My dad was a big wig with some association at UT in the 60's and often times after games we'd get into the locker room. I'm guessing it was 1966-67 when I was 11 but Ted Koy was the biggest dude I ever met. We shook hands and I thought I was going to be swallowed. Funny the things you never forget.

no, he was trying to throw the ball away, and he lost the grip as he was throwingm that'swhy the ball looked like a fluttering duck

coach k should get minimum credit for holding OU scoreless. their offense was one--dimensional and inept.
Going forward, the offenses will be much better.

One of my prized possessions Worster is an autograph my Aunt got me from Dr Koy. She lived in Georgetown and took her dog to him......
