TEXAS-OU Game Thread

I said it many times since Venables was hired that they made a huge mistake. You can't have an offensive minded program for the last 20 years and bring in a defensive coordinator as the head coach and expect a seamless transition. Especially after Riley gutted the team on the way out. He may eventually turn it around, but I suspect he may not last long enough to make that happen.

Certainly on offense that is true but dont recall him taking any d players. He did take grinch but venables should be fielding a better d than we saw today. Either way, love it for us to hand ou their worst loss in forever. I just wish we could have scored 2 more TD's.
Yes ^^^. And we could have easily scored 70 on ou sucks today. As worn down as the ou D was at the end of the 3rd, hanging 21 more on them would have been no problem. But hey, 49-zip will do.

You shouldn’t expect the transition.

Shouldn’t > cant

Now that I’ve savored the sweet taste of Ou tears as we handed them their worst shutout loss in their program’s history, I am not yet content.

Now I desire more, and that will come tonight when Bama lays an equally embarrassing ***-whooping on aggy. Please let this be so.

The last time Oklahoma failed to score in a game was 24 years ago, in 1998. A&M defeated the Sooners 29-0 in John Blake’s final season as the OU head coach.

This game set a bad pattern last year. Hoping is sets an equally positive one this year. There are going to be some tough games ahead.

Great win by Texas, and one that Sark needed.

The program was at a crossroads today, with a loss relegating the team to chasing scraps in the B12, and another failed opportunity to step up.

But instead, it was a statement win against OU, one of if not the worst whippings they've had in the series, and could set the tone much like OU's 2000 whipping did.
