TEXAS-OU Game Thread

That's what I love about this place! You could call holding on every play. Also, I was impressed with the OU defense in that they're pushing the envelope and getting a few PI calls. I always say in basketball if you don't have a moving screen call or two in the game you're not pushing the envelope. This Grinch defense was a nice change.
You are right Bubba. Doesn't make it right, but that is how it is on the field.

Baylor still hasn't play anyone, but they have found a way to win. Baylor hosts ou the week before Texas so the will be coming off that hide tanning.
Bailor is actually ranked higher than Texas in the RPI, which has SOS factored in. In they played the Saturday Bailor would probably be favored, especially sine the game is in Wacko.

Then there is something wrong with the RPI then. Just LSU and ou alone should put Texas as the one with the harder schedule. Add to that neither SFA or UTSA can compare with LaTech. (Rice is a common opponent which Texas won by 32 and Baylor won by 9 both in Houston.)

I just hope we can beat them as it may be baylor vs Texas for 2nd in the league. They got ISU at home and barely won and then got some home cooking vs Tech. Yes, Texas has had some really bad calls from B12 refs, but that debacle tops them all.

Your db's were holding on just about every play(an exaggeration, but at least when they were showing the coverages from behind the Texas offense it was apparent) when Texas receivers were trying to come out of their cuts/breaks. At least a couple of the "coverage" sacks were because Sam didn't throw to his intended receiver who was not where he should have been. An example of this was near the end of the first half. Sam was clearly looking for CJ down field and he didn't throw it as CJ was literally wrapped up by the db. It was only called in the second half when Sam actually threw the ball. Now, that was the way it was being not called so Texas receivers needed to get more physical and still get into their breaks. Our db's couldn't hold because they were rarely within arms length of ou receivers. More props to ou because the refs after awhile become conditioned to seeing the hand fighting/holding and just ignore it. The face mask penalties not called and the obvious helmet to helmet on Sam not called or reviewed are inexcusable and there is an ou bias among big 12 officials as they have been the best in the conference for a while now. Bama gets the same treatment in the $ec.
