TEXAS-OU game thread 2023

Lousy half of football and OU as usual seems to care about this game more than us. Feels like 28-10 it's kind of amazing we're only losing by 3. But we're a second half team.
 
Defense got to play better. Seemed to be a bit over aggressive in open field when an easy tackle is there. Offense is settling in. But I never want to see another end around in the red zone for rest of the season
 
We gave them 7 for sure and probably 3 with the penalty on the punt. Got to get more pressure on the qb for sure. Catalon is missed. I need more Brooks

OU fired up more than us at the outset.

Yet we're down by 3. If we can hold them on the opening drive of the second half, then I think we can do this. I know we can do this. But OU is one slippery *** team.
 
The D is gassed. OU is currently playing harder. But we are better. Just needs some breaks our way.

shoelaces untied, not running fast enough, not causing fumbles etc.
 
I probably shouldn't be, but I'm confident (not cocky). We've had receivers wide open after first two possessions without sanders being a factor. If that continues, and ewers is even halfway on, we're in good shape
 
I'm surprised with how bad Gavin Holmes has been when we've needed him out there. He was really good at GT and very physical like Watts.
 
Our defense and their tackling in the first half does not gruntle me.

We need to force more negative plays in the second half to win this.
 
Like many have said, the defense has been very disappointing. Poor tackling. Poor angles. Not great coverage. Some pressure but no sacks.can’t get Gabriel down.

I think we can get it together and I’m hoping that we will continue the trend of being a second half team. But talk about nerve-racking. For a time in the first half, I was just about hyperventilating.
 
They have spread our defense out and made them play in space and the defense has not won the 1-1 battles. Got to get a stop on the first series and let the offense take over.

this is the best offense we have faced and they are playing uptempo which causes problems. Good game plan by OU, not really surprising however. I knew they would uptempo. we need to go uptempo also.
I said our oline would be key and OU dline is playing pretty well

Let’s see. Milroe was right handed so we forced him to the left. I’m no genius, at times a fricken moron to some, but since Gabriel is left handed, shouldn’t Texas force him to the right and bring more pressure from the left?
