I love Schaefer’s post game media sessions. A few takeaways........he said he “couldn’t take her off the court”....referring to Chevalier. I remember him saying that about his daughter after she struggled but got better her last two years. She’s coach’s daughter who I am sure talk to her ALL the time. Schaefer..and all coaches.....will stay with a point guard who doesn’t turn the ball over, makes good decisions and is a pest defensively. Good for her. He really thinks they are going to be tough come tourney time. Then the best for me is....”Praise the Lord and Hook Em”

In the comments leading up to the game, a number of folks were hoping to see Ashley get more playing time. That happened and she performed. Audrey was good too - not just on defense. A while back I asked about what "help side defense" should look like. It was interesting to hear Vic's comments about Charli on that topic. When I initially asked the question, I was thinking about whether Charli was the one we needed there. Lastly, we held a high-scoring team to under 60 - Vic's benchmark. Defense good!

As Vic has said numerous times - she's a coaches kid. I wonder how much that plays into recruiting decisions.
