Yeah I wish they wouldn’t throw out. It’s fine to have a separate rule for lowering head or spearing but we need to stop throwing guys out.

By rule that was the definition of targeting though. He literally lunged forward with a helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless receiver. That could have been bad for Whitt.
