Texas HS Football Playoffs

Something about this game reminds me of the infamous Cooper/Reagan final in Amon Carter. There is no way LT should be able to score on the Katy D, but in Texas HS playoffs, weird things happen.
 
All Championship games at JerryWorld next weekend. Spend $30 and watch 4 championship games each day. Jerry has even discounted parking in past years.
 
Katy secondary got burned a couple times in poor coverage. Had a receiver drop one in the end zone that him right in the numbers. Several bad exchanges between center and QB, etc. Lot of uncharacteristic mistakes but they were playing the best team they have seen this year. LT looked very good.
 
If this Tom Herman thing does not work out, we should just call Hank Carter and have him bring his entire staff over. Their game planning and execution beats the crap out of ours.

With three domed stadiums in the state, no coach should leave his team's fate to the elements. I really like Gary, and think he is a great coach, but I cannot agree with that decision.

Both teams had to play in it.

Katy shot themselves in the foot multiple times. Even their top ranked kicker missed a FG. Wasnt their day.

The weather favored Katy as they are a ground-based attack whereas LT throws the ball a lot. However, it was Katy who could not hold on to the ball. The weather did not seem to bother LT at all.
 
I said in a post last week that I had a feeling that this could be Cooper/Reagan part 2. That Cooper team is still one of the greatest "teams" in Texas high school history. I sat in Amon Carter and watched it and still don't understand it, although I was so cold that by eyeballs were shaking.

I stand by my statement that I have no idea why it was played outside. That decision was made before Katy & LT won last week. LT was ready, Katy didn't bring their "A" game.
