This was an extremely frustrating game and no doubt we will hear for the rest of the weekend about the blown call at the plate. Good to get the win but that was a heck of a lot tougher than it looked to be after the top of the seventh.

Screw aggy and the blown call, yes it may have been a bad call, but if they go ahead in the bottom of the eighth. We probably would have played the top of the ninth differently, pinch hitters etc. They still had chances to win afterward and didn't. Besides they were fortunate to come back after the big lead in the 7th. Now let's come back to Austin and win the next two.

I just watched the video atThe Link

He looked out to me and I paused it and went slowly. Left hand obviously hit catcher's leg and tag seemed to be applied before plate was touched. From where the ump was standing, looks like a close but accurate call.

What a truly brutal way to start this series. I never would have predicted that from a Ruffin-Raley duel.

Anyway Texas wins, K-State loses. The same thing happens tommorow and we are conference regular season champs again for the fourth time in six years.
