Was watching the Baylor game last night and caught Brent Mussberger whining about Texas recruiting - "what is going on over in Austin???" I'm really looking forward to some surprised national figures who haven't been keeping track. By 10 a.m. Central, I'm very hopeful that there will be a huge buzz about this class.

It makes me wonder if Charlie asked Porter (and maybe Humphrey) for an early announcement to try and get a couple guys who might be on the fence before NSD. If the winds are blowing towards Austin then folks will take notice.

This may sound like a short-sighted question, but I honestly just don't know: is there a limit on how many kids Texas can sign this year? I've heard the number 25 thrown out a couple of times.

Does it have anything to do with "quota" and how many players Texas signed last year/are currently on the roster?

Early enrollees can count towards last year class if less than 25. It's complicated.
