TEXAS Commitment Announcements

I suspect that aggy is butt hurt once again that Daddy out recruited them despite a 5-7 record.... poor aggy.

Santos playing as he did as a sophomore is way better than "serviceable." Assuming natural development of bulk and play recognition, Wheeler and Hagar are both capable in the middle. I read somewhere (not sure how credible) that Hall may be moving up from safety to linebacker and with safety ability among our frosh, maybe we could afford it.

If we got linebacker worries, the rest of the Big 12 has really got problems.

Of the Frosh, McCullough and Fowler, from what I've read, can handle inside, outside or Fox.

In the Sharks video when he says "he loves his state and he's going here for a reason, he wants to bring it back where it belongs"
He just became my favorite longhorn with that phrase right there........if only the rest of our kids in state felt like that. True Texas kid right there.

Congratulations to Charlie and his staff and the players who were responsible for this 2016 recruiting class...Outstanding job putting this together !!!!!!!!!!!!

Higdon has said that Elliott is the last one today. Since he has continuous telepathic connection to Strong, I guess there is no mystery stuff to look forward to.

Gary is sad that he couldn't come to Texas. Look at that face. UM paid $$$, or he would be ours. Godz was right. In an aggy way.

This is kind of a fun listen, to kill time, till Elliot signs with Texas and the Strong presser.

From ESPN site:

Texas entered the day in a spot unfamiliar to most Longhorns fans. After years of dominating the Big 12 recruiting wars, Texas had the 32nd-ranked class, but the Longhorns shot up the rankings to No. 11 after top 50 prospects Jeffrey McCulloch and Brandon Jones committed to Texas live on ESPNU and ESPN 300 outside linebacker Erick Fowler flipped from LSU.

The Longhorns also added ESPN 300 defensive tackles Marcel Southall andChris Daniels on Wednesday, giving them three four-star defensive tackle commits. The Longhorns have now landed seven four-star recruits in the past 24 hours.

"I believe this class is going to help Texas win national championships," McCulloch said. "We believe in Charlie Strong. He's such a genuine person, and this group is going to help Texas do a lot of big things. Coach Strong has made us all believers."

They must think we are in the SEC.

OK Malik just did a short Periscope video, looked like he was walking around campus by himself.

He welcomed the new guys and then said to be watching for something “beware around 8:00 maybe” ... “just please look out for this” and “may be some unreal stuff happening” ... I have no idea what this means but errthing is possible today.

Malik is talking about something big happening at 8 pm on that periscope feed.

Maybe a recruit or maybe a new RB coach.

It's question time on that Looch radio show, this should be good. Might be some Horns call in and troll him.
