Texas at WVU-game two

wow. lots of points left on the floor with missed free throws and missed front end of the one and one.

And the Horns go to OT for the 3rd time this season. Hope this one turns out like the first two (wins vs. Stanford and OU). Let's go. Horns!

I know WVU is a poor shooting 3pt team but they are hot tonight. Can't give up that corner three.

that probably does it. Our four game winning streak is gone. We need to win against TCU on Tuesday.

This is RIDICULOUS...VERY disappointing....we had this and f'ing BLEW IT...
Just awful.....

Wow! Well WVU showed up the second half! Never understood Aston's subbing. Too much in and out and couldn't get in a groove. 3's make or break you. We had plenty of baskets underneath, but how many 3's were shot? That's what WV won with.

AND FOULS!!!!

Plenty of blame to go around. Brady had a solid first half, but an awful second half. Not only did she miss the 4 consecutive foul shots, but then missed a driving layup. I guess Coach A had to pick between Brooke and Brady to shoot the technical foul shots, and se went with Brady; not what I would have done.

After we had that 14 point lead with like 6 minutes left in the game, we couldn't really get the ball inside; the movement of our offense was the worst it had been pretty much all game long; could never get back on track it seemed.

the sanders' missed free throws, the bad decision to drive the lane and put up an awful runner next possession, brianna taylor's missed front end of a one-and-one late. all killers. just in my post, that's 8 points we didn't get.

True, but those weren't the only FT's missed. She sat for quite a bit of time after missing FT's, so you gonna get cold when you sit that long. Plus, we were up 15 when she went out and up only 5 or 6 when she came back in. She has had her shoulder taped for the last few games. Booster said she had the same injury as Empress a few weeks ago. Maybe she should not have been playing. I think Empress missed 2-3 games for her injury. I saw many consecutive turnovers by Brooke and Ariel that the other team scored from. Yes they were hitting some well needed shots, but how many times you gonna turn the ball over? It doesn't help scoring if you gonna just give it to WV to score. Tasia had some good minutes then was pulled. What's up with that? She was playing some good defense. Kelsi didn't have a good first half but much better 2nd half....had quite a few balls slip through her fingers. Looks like she grabs with just her fingertips. If WV barely touch the ball it was coming out. Imani was lights out, just fouled too much towards the end. She should be our starting Post. She has earned that. Maybe she prefers coming off the bench.....?

We really need to continue to work on end of game situations especially breaking the press. TCU will bring the press the entire game so we need to be prepared and ready to deal with it.
