Texas at Nebraska

Barnes got out coached today. He made no adjustments on anything. Sometimes you have forget about your ego and just try to win. Almost a great comeback but close don't count.

Texas did not give up at the end but Nebraska 70 Texas 67, great win for the Cornhuskers who I cannot stand.
 
Hats off to Nebraska for a huge win. Corn really took it to us in the second half.

Hopefully, we'll learn and progress as much from this loss as we did from the UConn defeat.

A silver lining--impressed that the team rallied to tie down 11 with less than two minutes to play.
 
Good Lord, I don't know what else Nebraska could have done to allow us to win. I'm just glad there wasn't someone who fell off an ocean liner and was looking for one of our players to throw them a floatation device, because it would definitely have blown back onto the boat today.
 
Ok, so Texas lost one game by a few points after beating so many good teams by big margains. This shouldn't concern anyone. Texas always better after a loss.
Remember, we aren't going anywhere in the conference standings.
If we had to lose a game, this is the one I would pick.

I can't believe we were in it there at the end with some of the bad calls (although that one out-of-bounds error that favored us was one of the dumbest things I've seen in a while) and mistakes we were making.

Nebraska's defense played good, but we scored more than most did, the main problem was our defense was awful, mostly against guys who weren't even trying to take outside shots. That and launching up a 27 foot shot when we still had most of the shot clock to work for an open look.
 
We were just flat out lazy on Defense most of the game. Hamilton was a big culprit here. I don't know how many times I saw a post player backing someone down with a chance for one of our guards to at least collapse down and force their post player to pick up the dribble and all we did was stand there and watch. I saw Hamilton do that multiple times. Just because his shots aren't falling doesn't mean he has to slack on D. I love Hamilton and Thompson but they weren't very good today (Minus Hamilton in the last few minutes).
 
Disappointing to lose to corn? Yes, but this one and the last road game against Baylor are the two remaining the games that concern me the most. Win out and they're in good shape for a #1 seed.
 
I saw what you saw hornpharmed. We got schooled in the paint. That surprised me. On both ends. Points and rebounds.
