Jones was off today 3 of 12 FG and 2 of 7 3pt breaking his string of 3 straight great outings.

We lost the TO 18 to 8 and WV had 9 move FG
attempts.

WVU might just be the unluckiest team in the country. Lost 13 of 14... but of those, they were pretty close to BU twice and a few other nailbiters like today.

We should NEVER allow a bench to score 50. If someone told me before the game that happened, I'd assume we gave up 100+.

Bishop is going to have to up the intensity since Mitchell is gone for the year. He likes to get between the ball and the basket like any good 6th grader would, but he fails at any sort of containment when there's motion or the ball is in the air. He looks like he's lost too much weight from his Creighton weight last year. Go watch some clips of him dominate around the rim from 2020-21.

Beard seems to want Ramey to take over. There's really no other reason for limiting Askew that much.

I wish I knew what was up with Disu. I was excited about him. I'm assuming it's still the injury limiting him, because he was not this bad.

On the other hand, Horns held wvu's starters to 31! That's pretty salty. No doubt it was a very physical game--a street fight. Horns found a way to win, again.

I think Taz Sherman has had some injury problems. He’s not as good as he was last year. In one of our games vs WV last year, it seemed like Sherman hit every three pointer he shot—and he shot a bunch.

Did not get to see the game, but surprised that Texas only won by one. WVU is really offensively challenged.

Not last night they weren't. They were moving well, cutting well, driving well, generally taking good shots and hitting them. All of this praise is not taking anything away from our defensive effort either.

The next two games will be very tough.

5-3 in February with one to play is a very successful month given the schedule they had being so backloaded. Hell 4-5 would have been ok and they still have shot to go 6-3 for month. That said Baylor is just not a good matchup for Texas so 5-4 is probably the end result and one that i would have taken on January 31 if it was offered without a moments hesitation.
