Texas A&M game

Witt stayed ahead of the final batter and induces a much needed double play. only threw 10 pitches that inning, that's more like it. Need more of them.

Dang, Gasparino hits into a double play to end the inning but Cortez threw a lot of pitches again.

Dang it. Witt hits him. 2 runners on, don’t know if it's Witt’s cutter or slider but he had trouble locating it in the 1st inning with it riding in and this one rode in a little more.

next batter popped up. 1 out.

ground ball to O'Dowd for the 3rd out. to the bottom of the 3rd, Witt is at 55 pitches. He's made a couple of mistakes, obviously the HR, still looking a little inconsistent. Hopefully he doesn't give up more when he finally fatigues.

With that kind of heat, that change up and curve coming in at 85 is tough on the hitters. Brown strikes out swinging. End of the 3rd.

Geez, that was a strike. Witt tries it again and it was even lower. hahaha, then it looks like Witt trying to take the ump's head off.....i know he wasn't trying but after the bad call I wish he would have hit the ump.

Strikes him out. 1 out.

Harrison comes in and strikes out his first batter

next hitter grounds out to Flores, 6-4 for the putout.

to the bottom of the 4th.

Harrison only threw 5 pitches to get out of that inning.

Schuessler up to bat.
Belyeu on deck
Borba in the hole.

Cortez is through.
Ashenbeck or something is coming to the mound for the ags. Left hander.
Strike out pitcher.

2003,

How can you say the Aggies have "under achieved"?

Rick Lueken - 6'7" flame thrower near 100 mph. By the Royals own admission, it took them 8 years to overcome what Chandler did to the kid.

Randy Pryor - another flame thrower approaching 100 mph in HS. Three months with Chandler and he's never heard from again.

How about that "million dollar team" of late 80s that every starter in infield was "guaranteed" to be a first round pick. IIRC, we played them either 5 or 7 times that year (I think it was 7) and beat them every time. Chandler at his finest - that's the year I yelled at Chandler on one of his infamous trips to the mound and he was laughing so hard he fell on the way back to the dugout.

Chandler was great for beer drinkers because he took so long, you had time to go to the head, get food, return to your seat to eat it before he changed pitchers.

wow, aggies like to fondle balls, doesn't like to let go and sure enough it allows both our runners to be safe. 2 on, no outs.
