5 out of 6 OU commitments dropped an average of 39 spots.

man, sucks to be us. we are clearly lacking in the talent evaluation department.

he must have liked what he saw from some of the previously unranked tcu and houston recruits. makes me wonder if those two teams are doing a really good job of evaluating. maybe would explain why both made noise last year.

The Hair is a seperate entity, and IT actually gained in the rankings, from previously NR to #98. Look for it to rise to the mid 50's by the end of the season.

i realize that you are suggesting that this is evidence that his list is rigged. whatever ketch's problems are, i think his lists genuinely reflect his opinions, and i've learned to have some faith in his eye for talent.

cry somewhere else for a change.

by the way, i do VEHEMENTLY disagree with his #68 rank on the final orangebloods 2010 list. i cannot imagine how he came up with that.

notreally is not a complainer. Look at the list changes, they primarily favor Texas in the extreme and OU in the extreme negative. Ketchum's rankings are known to be extremely biased. Yes, some UT players do move down. But predominately they move up--a lot.

ketch has had a history of being pretty darn kind to ou recruits. he squalled like a stuck pig when we didn't take a look at that austin kid who made such a fine db for the sooners way back there.

moreover, when he isn't impressed with a texas kid, he doesn't disguise it. on this update, taylor doyle dropped 20 places and leroy scott has plummeted from 5th place a while back to 21st now. i don't like the sound of that.

you guys are spewing typical sooner ********. that's all.

ever occur to you that maybe your commits that have dropped deserve it?

I must have missed the Metoyer commitment to OU, but I never found anyone who watched him say anything good about him. Is he overrated anyway?

i wouldn't necessarily say that i am crying. i'm just looking at the lists and trying to determine why ketch has moved some of the texas recruits so high.... in what seems like good timing with texas junior days. maybe because he has focused more on those guys lately, maybe not.... but the numbers don't lie.

there are people on the sooner boards that do all kinds of tracking on this stuff, and to be hones, in the end it seems like it comes out "pretty even". although, one can only speculate as to why he believes they should drop on his lists.

maybe our guys just aren't that good. hopefully stoops is not basing any recruiting strategy on ketch's list. otherwise, i think we'll be screwed.

Sooner fans ought to regard Ketch's opinions with skepticism.

Not nearly the same level of skepticism with which we Horn fans should regard OU "writers" like James Hale and Thayer Evans, but healthy skepticism nonetheless.

If Ketch's list were a troll line, he would catch more sooners than coudl fit in their stadium.

I don't think it matters very much. The early lists are based on kids Sophomore years - and then get updated through their junior years. Kids who shined as sophomores get on the list first (Green) but may move down as others are discovered or they have a bad junior year (Green). As more and more tape becomes available - kids come out of the wood work and others drop like rocks due to grades or other issues.

Why would a sooner fan care about a list that is done by a Texas Site owner any way??? The national guys do their lists and the stars any way - not ketch.

Danzel Williams: NR to #46 is a pretty impressive rise.

Evans rocked up the list based on his track performance and more info about his speed has come out. Kid has all the talent in the world - when he learns the technique, he will be awesome.

well, there's a reason why ketch's list carries some weight and james hales' does not. and that reason is why ketch is very likely not sandbagging now.

certainly this list should be view with a skeptical eye. all lists should. i view my own lists that way. but some lists are a lot shakier than others. ketch's view on texans is about as good as you are going to find, in my humble.

ketch moves up texas targets and commits and moves down those of other schools. It's pretty obvious, but no big deal to me since his opinion doesn't really matter.

it was very interesting to me with this update to see tcu kids really move up.

dang, if that is accurate and tcu keeps that up it wouldn't surprise me to some day soon see tcu go to a bcs bowl and oklahoma not. that is IF ketch is anything like right.

But the national rankings are the only one's that truly matter. Those rankins are what the stars and class rankings are based on. I am sure those are what kids care about - not the state rankings.

I didn't care last year when Cobb was dropped at the top player in Oklahoma toward the end of the process. The kid is the same player no matter what.

i tell you the aggie list i like is the one done by that guy who posts here sometimes. i don't always agree with him, that's for sure, but i respect what he does.

It isn't suprisng that OU's recruits aren't highly regarded in the rankings thus far. Texas got just about all of the very top talent this year already. Then after hearing about OU having so many no shows to their junior day it makes you think they probably took lower tier talent.

For the record I think any rankings this early is a little silly. Wait at least until they have done all the camps and junior days before we come out with an early list. Then wait until we see how they do their senior years before we really start making a list in ink.
