Well I decide to venture over to texags.com Its been a while since I visited those crazy ags. Its the normal blame game and coach firing posts as usual. There is a funny thread of coach's and their look-a-likes.

There is a thread of "Name players who had their coming out parties against A&M..." Posters are going through and naming different players who have taken aggy out of the spotlight and thrown them in the cellar with all of the terrible teams. One of the posters did this...

I kinda wish they were undefeated at this point. There would be 175 threads on MNC talk and how Sherman has turned the program around in 2 months.

This season I'm especially enjoying frequent trips to TexAga.com - Football Thread

Few observations.... For one, the group seems very homogeneous. It's as if they all took the same humor writing course and all grew up in the same town somewhere. The humor works mostly because it's all on the same page. The only diversity there is in the variations on a theme, as it were. But it's basically the same voice all the way through. The cleverness is in how many different ways you can spin the same Aggie Joke.

Two, the variety of ways to dump on yourself seems endless.

Three, the board actually is a parody of itself. You cannot script an aggie thread to make fun of TexAgs. You cannot do any better than the actual thread itself. Reminds me of a Harvard Lampoon issue, that was a parody of PLAYBOY. I I flipped through more than half the issue before I realized it was a parody. I then realized the magazine itself is a parody.

So here we are in the Year of the Big 12. Ah, that word, Twelve. SpiderAg has already wrote about it. So, 6 of the 12 are ranked. Four in the Top 10. Three top Heisman picks, at a minimum.

And where is Aggie?... Right where they belong. 12th.

Most of the talk around my office from the Aggies has been about the Baylor game and the ISU game. Seems they've given up on everything else.

The last couple of weeks they've been honoring R.C. but they couldn't wait to fire him thinking Fran was the next messiah..

Now that he's **** canned they're cluless with Sherm...

And I thought RC was vanilla on offense?

I just dropped in over there and looked at the thread that asks who all the posters are; ie., who all the aggies are today that post ("Who Are All You People?" thread). The poster is an Aggy grad with kids also at aTm. In response to him came yet another Patrick Bateman bit of script.. hilarious.

Guys, I thrive on atm misery. I enjoy taking a look at texasags.com via links provided here. However, my pleasure is tempered until we return to beating them on a regular basis. Let's face it, the Longhorns no longer take atm as seriously as they take us as proven the past two meetings. Something has to be done to change this and allow Longhorns to return to our God given right to swagger into every DQ in every little town across the state.
