Tenn job is now open too (edit - not Shiano)

Unless Florida does something really stupid (which is likely), Jeff Brohm, although with history of cheating and criminal activity this is a spot tailor made for Chip Kelly.

I think they should look long and hard at the Detroit Lion's Cooter and see if there is mutual interest. I believe there is

Caldwell is rumored to be strongly considering retirement. Would Cooter be inline for the HC position? Not sure why any coach would prefer the egomaniacal NFL owners group over college presidents, but some do.

Calling Vol Horn 4 Life.

Dude, here is your chance at greatness!

Give up corporate life! You'd be a better coach than some of these other named a-holes...

You should apply!

I called but they said I couldn't bring the ladies from the ranch...a real deal breaker. It was some bs about image and they've already had enough trouble the last decade. Whatever.....

Couldn't bring the ranch "ladies" to KnoxVegas???

That, is a very closed-minded position to take - you're wise to walk away from a program with that kind of irrational decision making!!!

Tennessee
Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden has met with athletic director John Currie about the vacancy. This was a procedural move, and it helped Currie with factions of Tennessee fans and boosters who have long been obsessed with Gruden.

Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen and Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano are candidates.

Current interim head coach Brady Hoke is not considered a candidate, and could go to the NFL for a position job.

I hope Jon Gruden gets hired by someone this year because I'm sick of every single open P-5 job being accompanied by "Jon Gruden is reportedly on the short list."

I talked to a Tennessee alum yesterday, who told me they would offer Gruden $10 million. I told him to get $30 million together now for the buyout.

If Schiano goes 12-0, he will never be "one of us" in KnoxVegas. Just another in a long line of amateur hour decisions up there. Some of us refer to it as "the curse of Johnny Majors"

Currie may be fired before sunrise. It's gotten really ugly in Knoxville, former players, BMDs, congressmen and other politicians, one going so far as to say on twitter he hopes Currie's plane bringing him and Schiano back crashes.

Schiano's testimony of his knowledge of the situation when he was at State Penn is coming into play big time.
