Ted Valentine surfaces again

I read it no later than the second day after the game. Texas newspaper, I think. It was in time to notice that Valentine did not work the EE game.

Pancho Negro is hilarious.

Ted Valentine ******* sucks at his job. Period. I don't have to be a basketball official to notice when one is as ****** as he is. I don't have to be a professional football player to notice that David Carr is a ****** NFL quarterback. I don't have to be a professional baseball player to notice that Adam Everett couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag. Et cetera, et cetera.

The first couple of times it was nice to hear an argument from the other side on officiating. But now it's obvious that you have even less objectivity than the fans. You defend absolutely anything and everything that the refs do. Your defense of Ted Valentine proves it.

And your admission that it may or may not have had something to do with Valentine not officiating again in that tournament is good stuff. It's like you truly believe that you know more about how officials advance than anyone else here. Believe it or not, there are people in the world (and even on this board -

) that know more than you about that situation. Even though it had to do with a referee.

But you didn't make that decision, and neither did I. He's had this reputation for almost 20 years. There is no other answer -- it doesn't matter what kind of a person he is. At least, not yet.
