Not seeing FW as of yet I will start it off for now.

French sets Tech down in order on two ground balls and a K.

Big game for Texas as Tech's ace Masek is going to pitch tomorrow with his 3-0 record and 0.00 ERA.

Texas coming to bat for the first time in conference play.

Hall leads off and is on a HBP
Stell lines hard to left for out #1.
Weis hits a comebacker that moves Hall to second with two down
Payton grounds out to first to end the inning.

No score after an inning..

French has that heavy sinker working early tonight as he retires
Tech in order again on a comebacker, K, and a can of corn to center.

No score as Texas bats in the bottom of the second.

Hinojosa leads off with a one hop hot shot to third for an out.
Johnson lines one right at the pitchers head and he ducks as it
goes into center for a single.
Felts grounds into a 5-4-3 dp though to end the inning.

No score still after two complete.

French has now retired the entire Tech line up in order now.
Two ground balls and a liner that Carter picks off his shoetops
sets them down again.

No score as we head to the bottom of the third.

Carter leads off being hit by a pitch.
Marlow hits into 6-4 FC for out one. We aren't bunting tonight it
seems.
Hall K's for out 2.
Stell grounds out to short to end the inning.

No Score after 3 complete, we need to take advantage of French tonight and get him a few runs. Must get frustrating for him.

Late getting home from fish fry but following along, keep up the updates and lets get some runs.

French K's the first two hitters in the 4th, but a walk on four pitches ends his perfecto.
A single to right for Tech's first hit and a walk load the bases.
Then French gets a ground ball to Weis who takes it to the bag
unassisted for the third out.

French needed that as it looks like runs will be hard to come by even though the wind is blowing out tonight.

Still no score as we move to the bottom of four.

Weis leads off with a swinging K for out one.
Payton grounds out to second for out two.
Hinojosa lines out to left for the third out.

No score after four innings.

Tech gets a lead off single to put a runner on.
Then a ground ball to Hinojosa takes him right to the bag where he turns the double play 6U-3.
A ground ball to Marlow at second makes it a quick inning for French.

To the bottom of five and halfway through the conference opener there is still no score.

Johnson leads it off for Texas and pops out to second for the first out.
Felts strikes out swinging for out #2.
Carter grounds out to second to end the inning.

No score after five innings.

This is just too typical of the current state of Texas baseball, outstanding pitching and little to no run support to back it up. This team would be Omaha bound if it had an offense to match its pitching staff.

Tech leads off with the third comebacker of the night to French for the first out.
French struggling with his control some now and Skip comes to the
mound as there isn't any room for error tonight.
French responds with another ground ball out to short for out #2.
A soft fly ball to left ends the at bat for Tech.

To the bottom of six with no score.

Marlow leads off and flies out to left for out one.
Hall lines to right for the second out.
Stell lines a single to right center, look for him to go.
Weis lines a single to right to put runners on first and second.
I wish they had let Stell steal and then we might have scored there.
Payton pops up to the catcher and on we go.

Still no one has scored after six complete.

Oh no, Skip comes out to the mound before a pitch is thrown and French is out of the game, maybe tweaked something, not good.

Ty Marlow is coming in to pitch now.

Marlow throwing the soft stuff K's the first batter.
But as I was afraid off he hangs one to the next batter and he
deposits it over the right field fence.
Tech leads 1-0.

A soft liner to second is the second out.
Marlow K's the next man to end the inning.

Tech now leads 1-0 to the stretch, somehow it seems like more. Got to get something going and be aggressive.

Hinojosa pops out to second for out one.
Johnson hits a high chopper to third that the third baseman can't handle for an infield hit.
He has good wheels, wish he will use them.
Felts fouls out to left field for the second out.
Let Johnson try to steal please!
Carter singles to right and moves Johnson to third where again he would have scored if he could have stolen second.
Lets not strand another runner.
Marlow lines out right to the right fielder, the frustration continues.

Tech leads 1-0 after 7 innings.

Well that is two straight innings that get a runner in scoring position with two outs and cant get clutch hit. Hard to win when dont score any runs.

After a lead off out Hinojosa fields a routine ground ball and airmails it into the dugout for an error that puts a runner on second with one away.

Here comes Skip and Marlow is done and Boardman comes in to face the left handed batter.

Can't afford to give up any more the one run deficit seems very large at the moment.

CJ airmails a throw to first and Tech gets one out runner on second. Boardman is on and lets hope his stuff is enough to get out of this with no damage.

And Boardman hits the batter on a 1-2 pitch to put runners on first and second and here comes Skip again.

He calls for Urban to come in now and face the right handed batter as we play situation baseball. Need to get out of this inning.

Third pitcher of inning now with Urban on and runners on first and second, could really use a ground ball double play here.

Urban with a big K for the second out.
Urban with a big hook after fastball after fastball freezes the batter and he K's looking to end the inning.
Quality job by Urban to keep the game a t-0 Tech lead.

Can we ever score is the question?
Tech leads 1-0 to the bottom of the 8th.

This is shaping up like the Stanford series all over again and with Masick tomorrow on the mound things will only get harder for the horns bats.
