Team to be at Disch-Falk field at 1:30PM today

Not only were we outnumbered in Omaha, but we were definitely quiet. With the exception of 1 or 2 sections, our fans sat on their hands and didn't cheer for the team except when a huge play happened. It was impossible to get any support or momentum behind the team from the stands.

Every time I cheered, other Texas fans would look at me and not even join in or make an effort. I think our fans feel entitled to be there. It drives me crazy that we are so quiet.

db--thanks for sharing your awesome pics! Those were some disappointed faces and I have to admit this devoted baseball fan had some teary moments while viewing! So many things we could say about this team--what a great bunch of kids!! Thanks, guys and thanks, Coach Augie and staff! You made us all so PROUD!

Yes, they were in better spirits than you might think. Even though the crowd at UCFU D-F was only several hundred, I think they enjoyed it.

Ms. Accurate and I dropped by on our way to San Antonio, but we were a little late. A few players were still there, and some of the fans. I thanked the players for the great season, but walking into DF a looking at the field for the last time brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye.
It was a great ride, but oh so close to another NC.

I told AW that I couldn't find a 'Keep Austin Wood' shirt in time for the series, he grinned and flashed the 'hook'em.'
