Teacher does zippo during school fight

Ok, after watching both fights, there is something really fishy here.

This isnt how fights worked when I was in school. The second video is clearly a set up event. The kids are ready with their phones, the teacher is behind the lecturn, and the two fighters are prepped to go. And then they fight. And then one guy wins, and its over.

What the hell is going on here? As it says in the video, it really is "Fight Club." These arent spontaneous fights between kids with a grudge against eachother. The whole thing just stinks.

Well they are called alliances, right? and they do charge dues but since Texas is a right to work state these ' alliances" can't collectively bargain OR force teachers to join.

There are unions for other industries but again membership is not mandatory and while they engage in a form of collective bargaining it does not have the force it does in union states.

Horn beat me to it, that there are 'unions" but they don't have the hiring/firing control that I guess you would have in CA, etc. At least as I understand it. My point was in general anyway, the mentality that these various unions/alliances put in to teachers minds are what is damaging. Like the teacher that sat their watching because the union tells them it's better no to get involved. I wonder what would happen if one of those kids lost an eye or died from the injuries in a fight? Maybe its already happend(im not gonna look it up) but why even take the chance to let it go that far.

Yeah, they are associatons or professional groups. They dont have any real power in Texas. Probably about 50% of my school has joined one. They mainly provide a lawyer if you get sued by a kid's parents when you hurt him while breaking up a fight and the district won't defend you because you broke school policy.
