Never take any game for granted in the B12. But 0-12… no wait… but… nope. Take it seriously. Show up. Play hard. But…

We need to get through this one healthy. It would be nice to get bench players some minutes as well. IowaSt on the road in a little over 48 hrs from the tip of this one. Their fans will act like that game is their superbowl and they've never beaten Vic.

Yea we can’t afford any slip ups. I’m worried the Big 12 is only getting one team in the top 16 if the first reveal is any indication. February and March and going to be a bloodbath in this conference fighting for seeding (as if the conference title wasn’t already enough incentive).

Okay, I want a 30-point game, 20+ points from Shay, 25 mins from Jak, 10 turnovers, and 5 fouls.:p I guess you can get what I mean...

A beat down would really be a nice thing to have today. I REALLY don’t want to be on the edge of my seat in the 4th Qtr for this one.

The Texas men also just made their 30th free throw in a row (spanning two games) which is a program record. I’d love to see the Women’s team up their FT game from here on out

Not necessarily expecting a " beatdown" but do expect a win. With Morris out I'm thinking Vic will tinker with the lineup which will increase turnovers and shaky offense.

Really gotta feel for Ndjakalenga. She got 13 mins in the 1st half, but went 0-8 and still seems to be struggling a bit to adjust to college play. But I have every expectation that she will be as great as we think she'll be. I expect a big improvement between this year and next for her.

Yeah, she got to play a half...time to put Shay back in.

The only way to get out of a slump is to shoot your way out of it. If the shot is there within the flow of the offense, she needs to take.
Vic knows what he has in Holle. I'm guessing Jak goes back in.
TCU is not going to really pose a threat so now is the time to force feed Jak.

Got the W by 20 probably should have been 30 but I’ll take it and no injuries gladly.

Not much offense from the 3 replacing Sonya but maybe those minutes help Jak get her sea legs. Looking forward to her development. Mina seemed a step slow today to me. Gonna need her energy Monday night.

I guess they’re on a plane to Ames tomorrow.

I’m scratching my head on this one. Winning by 20 and holding them to 50 on 33% shooting sure feels like success but honestly, it didn’t feel like we played all that well. I guess TCU’s seven 3’s and 13 from the line kept them in the game longer than they should have been. We were only 6 points below our average. I just can’t put my finger on it, but it sure didn’t feel like the beat down that would otherwise be a 70-50 game. :idk: I sure as hell know this much: 18% from the three and 50% from the line isn’t going to cut it against an Iowa State team reeling from three straight losses. Let’s hope the Horns were just saving it up for Monday. Morris was still limping today and certainly didn’t look like someone who would be taking the court in Ames.

Obviously, we are trying to deal with Sonia's absence and some regular players who are having cold streaks. Vic tends to go to the hot hand and very few players take undisciplined shots. If Gaston had been able to stay in, I think we would have won by 30. Happy with defense and hussle. Surprised to see some players struggle but we are balancing the need to give players minutes even they have 0 points on the board. If we have 3 nonshooters on the floor, the other team easily guards the two shooters.

TCU has been competitive, just hasn't been able to win. We beat a decent team tonight.

I've noticed that Vic is allowing players to bring their families to the post-game pressers. You can hear them in the back. I kinda hope he lets recruits who are visiting attend these pressers as well:

Sorry, but agree to disagree. Their big wins are against UTSA (6-17) and Incarnate Word (10-13). They lost to West Virginia by 32, OU by 35 and Iowa State by 40. I’m not saying we played bad per se, but it felt like a hard win today despite the 70-50 final score. Definitely missing Morris.

The ladies need to take a few lessons from the men on FT shooting and taking care of the ball. Improvements there and this team is beating TCU by 30+ not 20.

And reality is that this team isn't going to get to the E8, FF without improvements in those areas.
