Tattoos

I hate the little tats, the I'm-not-really-committed-to-this tat. I like the ones that are all in. Like the giant dragon with a black panther in its mouth eating a bunny.

Ten of fifteen years from now, you might feel just a bit uncomfortable showing up for an office picnic or your kid's soccer match sporting a barbed-wire tat on your upper arm.

I agree that a well-placed tat on a woman can be erotic (because it gives the sense that she's comfortable doing unusual things with her body)... but that may not be the impression she will want to give in all situations in which the tat could be visible for the rest of her life. I'm middle-aged now, and I have several friends who have to be very careful in certain settings to select clothing that covers the tats they got years ago.

Have no tats. Will never have a tat. My proudest parenting achievement is that Sharkette (31 and living in Austin) and Shark Jr. (33 and living in LA and working in Hollywood) have zero tats as well...and no piercing except Sharkette's very normal ear piercings.

I spent a lot of time VERY drunk in Vietnam, Hong Kong and Singapore and never even thought of a tat. I don't like tats.

You want a tat? Be my guest. Did I mention that I don't like tats?

I haven't seen the words "tramp stamp" used in this thread although it seems to be in common usage regarding the above the butt female tatoo elsewhere. Maybe that's just among old folks.
