TAMU Recruiting Advantage in SEC?

Mack's recruiting strategy is to recruit kids who not only want to play for us but who also take great pride in representing Texas. I don't see much changing for us or OU.

The coversation at home goes like this:
"Mom / dad / grandma (insert caregivers nick-name here), what if I go the the atm machine and play real college football, not that pansy *** **** they play in the big 12 minus 2?"
"Son, I have already told you that I want to see you play as many games as I can and I don't want to travel to all those deep south cities."
"OK caregiver, I will go to TCU / Tech / Baylor "

Maybe if a kid is from east Texas his family is within driving distance of Fayetteville and Baton Rouge, nothing farther east.

But how many parents drive to see their kids play in Lubbock or the northern big 12 schools? I guess Lubbock is different as you can use Southwest Airlines to get to it cheaply.

Fayetteville is easy to fly to, but sucks to drive to. You get stuck behind a bunch of motor homes going up hills.

Collie Station to Fayetteville is 500 miles. Even Dallas to Fayetteville is 330 miles. It's just a long way there and once you get past Fort Smith there is no interstate. Even from Texarkana, there is no good way to get there.
