Sweet, 2 seed in Houston

No one is happy that we lost, jesus, how hard is that to figure out? There is a silver lining in this loss which is a basic home game for the first 2 games.

DJDJAJGJ, I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, but please find a new source. The 1 seeds aren't placed a specific locations, nor are the 2 seeds. The committee tries to give the top 4 seeds a geographical advantage in the first two rounds. That is why Texas will likely be in Little Rock regardless of whether they are a 1, 2 or 3 seed.

There is NO guarantee of the Houston Regional if UT is a 2 seed. Could it happen? Sure, but if you expect it to happen that's your decision but completely based on hope and nothing else.

I surrender KosherHorn you're right. I didn't realize the locations in the Bracketology thing were arbitrary. Even though the Omaha game is listed in the South region, Kansas would get to play in Omaha regardless of what region they're in for example. And like you said we'd be in Little Rock regardless of region. The committee made this change a few years ago.

So then there really is no guarantee of anything. Whether we won out or lost a few games, we could be in the South regional either way. There's no way to tell for sure.

BiH, well said. I will be focusing on 2-4 footers tomorrow. Hopefully Barnes and crew will be focusing on the Cowboys and Huskers.

If the top seeds are given an advantage as to where they play then why in the world would the selection process put number 1 seed Memphis in the South Regional in Houston with number 2 Texas ?

Isn't that giving the 2 seed an advanatge over the one ?

That does not make any sense to me.
