Survivor: Heroes vs. Villiains

While I think that Pavarti deserved to win, I can understand why Sandra won. I hope they shake up the rules to better reward aggressive strategic play. If future players model their games after Sandra, I will not be watching much longer for sure.

yeah, it's almost like basic training in the army. The one great piece of advice I was given was to blend in with the woodwork.

It worked. My DI didn't know my name until week 6 of an 8 week basic training cycle, when I uttered "y'all".

Meanwhile the guys who volunteered for stuff, trying to get noticed, etc. were in the most trouble. getting the most extra PT, etc.

SIMPLE QUESTION:

With the game changing from reward for manipulation to penalize for manipulation, what would be your strategy . . . if you were selected as a contestant for the next season?

Get to the final three anyway anyhow.......

Get rid of all the hanger ons, coat tail riders and take my chances against other strong players......

For the current game structure, Sandra's game play is fairly sound. She is not a physical threat so she flies under the radar. She makes subtle moves to save herself when neccessary but rarely (if ever) pulls off a big move which pisses off a jury member. And she justs lets other players self-destruct.

when was the last time a "strong" player actually won the thing?

I'm thinking it almost goes to someone who flies under the radar and doesn't make a big move.

For me, Yule Kwon has been the best winner. He was a strong physical player that also mastered the social aspect of the game. He won the Cook Islands 'ethnic tribes' season of which Parvarti was a cast member as well.

Russell's been the best Survivor playing at getting to the finals with his resourcefulness in finding idols and manipulative tactics; however, he blows it with his arrogance and bullying. These two qualities show a lack of respect to the other players, so in turn they don't vote for him in the end. Too bad he doesn't know when to turn down the volume on his act during the game and his final argument at tribal council is effectively, "Admit it, I'm better than all of you." Not exactly a great motivation to get me to give you $1M.

Don't think this show has jumped the shark just yet.
