-That your typical football fan is really qualified to say whether a football player is better suited as a 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB (even though many claim to be).-When it comes to combat sports (UFC, boxing, etc), that anyone can predict not just who will win, but how they will win and in which specific round they will win with any degree of reliability beyond pure chance (even though it’s common practice for everyone to do this before every big fight).

-That Nicholas Cage’s inexplicable success and his family connections are not in some way related.

-That people can really tell the difference when it comes to ludicrously expensive A/V equipment (for example, The Link ).
