I notice that longtime Clinton attorney (and "crisis management consultant") Lanny Davis represents Cohen. I wonder how Trump could have let that happen. I'd be highly surprised if Davis is charging Cohen (or charging him much). Trump could afford to hire somebody for him (or call up Joe Fan and ask for a personal favor).

Did you see Avenatti offered to represent Cohen? Is that dude any more than a public shill? Does he actually do any legal work?
 
As I said on another thread, if Trump banged a porn star, lied to us about it and renenged on a promise to repay hush money to his attorney, my opinion of him would be undiminished.
Frankly, diminished importance of past indiscretions may be something else positive we can add to the list of Trump accomplishments.

The media didn't put out a lot of credible info on presidents sexual exploits prior to Bill Clinton, who didn't really get away with it. His reputation is and was sullied.
Grover Cleveland took some heat for "taking care" of a child born out wedlock, but historians aren't convinced the child was really his. Several presidents were credibly labeled adulterous.. Most credibly Eisenhower, FDR, Johnson and Harding. Jefferson and Franklin among the Founding Fathers has eyebrow raising sexual history. Many believe Buchanan was gay.
