Guess it depends how much you had invested in the moment when it happened. If you're part of the team, it's about camaraderie. If something moving happened in addition to the game around that time period (i.e. birth/death in the family), then it's about feelings of gain/loss and being overcome with emotion.

If you're just some dude in a library looking at videos on the Net and crying, then people might wonder...

I still get emotional every time I watch it too, but then again, I'm a female, and we're known to be very emotional. One of the best days of my life as a Longhorn fan!!

Just a die hard longhorn fan...even though I am young compared to some other posters...been a fan since 2003 when Dakarai Pearson was our FS...(don't ask me why...but he made me a die hard 4 life)

Nah it's normal if you bleed burnt orange. I was lucky enough to attend the game, and really soak in the atmosphere with 8+ hours of tailgating with family and friends. That day will always be my groundhog day...

I watched the 2005 "Live the Dream" DVD the other day, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't move me.

I didn't cry...there was gust of wind in the library and it got into my eye

but seriously i didn't cry, but my eyes were definitely watery

Every time for me--when they were showing clips during Vince's # retirement. I went batshit and people in my section looked at me like I might need some sort of professional help.

Dude. You just love the Horns.

Most, if not every one of our die-hard fans (you and many of them are on these boards) will feel a very high level of emotion after watching a replay of that game... no one has a burnt orange pulse if they don't get emotional watching that victory - regardless if it is the 4th time you watched it or the 14th time.

As for some of us older posters, I had been waiting through many ups and big downs since 1970 to savor another MNC again. At the moment Vince scored and I knew UT would win, I felt: incredible relief & pride for the University, some level of personal satisfaction and indirect vindication for the coaches & players since 1970 that worked, fought so hard and came so close to winning another NC for The University. Demons were exorcised from our program that night. I was also extremely delighted during the moment of victory that, Vince Young got to thrust a large burnt orange stick in the collective eye of the doubters, haters and sports pundits / experts in the media. Damn that was a great moment!!!

Hook 'Em Horns!

Watching the actual game replay is bad enough. Watching a couple of the videos put together by fellow Horns really, really get me. I'm speaking specifically of "The Passion." I hope each and every one of y'all has seen this video.

Definitely the best sports day of my life and best sports trip of my life. Kept in perspective because its the best "sports" day of my life.

Of course you wouldnt know that from all the pictures on my wall that I took at the game, the framed ticket stub and box score, the framed SI cover, the framed picture of my buddy and I after the game with the award ceremony going on behind us, all the video's saved to my computer that were done by my fellow horn fans etc.

OK a little bit of a perspective problem but I do my best to keep it under control.

Still emotional for me too. Speaking of Pearson...what's he doing now? Did he ever play pro ball? He was one of my favorite players too.
