State income tax

Ok, I pay thousands of dollars for the right to live in Oklahoma. My property tax is about the same rate as my father's in NE Texas (about 1.1%). My sales tax is 8.375% and it goes on food too. My income tax is around 7% state (I think).

So those of you who really want your taxes to go up, well, you can see the advantages of it. Just look at Oklahoma.

Um...I am moving back to California this month and can look forward to paying $3000 each QUARTER in state income taxes. I paid just shy of $5,000 per year in property taxes, so no, the overall tax burden is not greater in Texas for me.

honestly, i'm not sure which is worse:

a state income tax

or

the ******* state raising the cost of my fishing license by an exorbitant amount in addition to raising the fees of every state park, in addition to raising the cost of a hunting license, etc.

but we have no new taxes here in texas.

thanks guv perry. may i have another?
