Starting Rotation

Friday----------------Parker French
Saturday-game1-Dillon Peters
Saturday-game2-Lukas Schiraldi
Sunday--------------Nathan Thornhill

I'm sure the there will be multiple line-ups before anything is set in stone except for Payton and Hinojosa. I think the thinking is if you can hit you can start. That sure looks like what this starting line-up is all about, getting as many bats in the order as possible. If you hit you stay if not you go away.

I had heard that Schiraldi had been impressing the coaching staff and might earn a starting position on the pitching staff. Of course this is a rare four game series that requires another starter. It will be interesting to see if he or Thornhill gets the Sunday start. It will also be interesting to see if one or the other is the weekday starter or is put in the pen for long or middle relief.

The other pitching piece of the pitching puzzle is if anybody has been given the closer role yet. It's been a long time since we didn't have a quality closer on the staff. It may just be bullpen by committee till the roles are designated.

The wild card besides the emergence of Schiraldi for the pitching staff is how John Curtiss's arm is. He could be a real difference maker if his arm is healthy again.
