Spurs vs Heat for the championship

Vol Horn 4 Life

Good Bye To All The Rest!
Who wins it?

I say Spurs in six! Heat seem to be the walking injured and the Spurs have been resting for what seems to be a month and will be very fresh.

Go Spurs!!!

I think it'll be close. I have to say Spurs in 6-7 because of their team continuity, whereas Wade/Bosh have been so up-and-down throughout the playoffs. When Ray Allen is off, the Heat lose as well. We haven't seen the Spurs "off" yet.

Miami really had their act together in Game 7 against the Pacers. Spurs could be in for trouble.

I'll take the Spurs in 5. Parker is playing great and the rest will help Duncan. But if the Heat can keep playing like they did in game 7, which I don't think they can, it could be a sweep for them they were really clicking. I just can't see Wade holding up or Bosh having much success against a Pop scheme.

It's the benevolent Spurs against the malevolent Heat. A classic tale of good versus evil.

The righteous slay the serpent and his receding headband in six.

NBA not trying to hide the home court bias early on in this one. Duncan given a pair of phantom fouls in the 1st quarter.

Not one, not two, not three, not four... NOT FIVE, NOT SIX, NOT SEVEN.... NOT EIGHT, NOT NINE, NOT TEN!!!....

Need 4 of 6 now, just to get two.
Shot 5 of 18 in the 4th quarter on home court.

Go Spurs. LMAO... for tonight anyway.

What a gritty win for the Spurs on the road. Fitting that Parker had the off balance floater over James as the shot clock expired to seal it.

Going to SA with a 2-0 lead may be too much to ask, but one can hope.

If the Spurs play defense the way they played in the 4th quarter, then this series will be over much sooner than anyone ever thought.

Heat aren't done yet. Spurs will prolly win though. If Heat were playing the way they were 2-3 months ago the I would pick them.

The heat are playing the way they have been playing all year. They just never came up against the Pop defense. He is a master at finding a flaw and exposing it. Look at the Memphis series for example. Memphis did not all of a sudden go into a slump. They had their favorite spots taken away from them and could not handle it.

This is the perfect version of team basketball. At the rate we're going, it will end up much like Detroit in the 2004 where there were 4 or 5 guys who could justifiably be named Finals MVP.

Who knows, maybe the Heat take game 5 and the then Spurs take the next two in Miami. Probably not going to happen, but that would be rather fitting.

What an odd series. I've never seen a series of such back and forth dominating performances. With the trend I'll say the Spurs take game 5 and then win one in Miami to win it all. Not sure if it's game six or seven but the Spurs will win it all.

If Miami wins game 5 the series is basically over. If the Spurs win game 5 they have an edge, but not a huge one.

I'm not very optimistic about the Spurs' chances any longer with Tony Parker's leg injuries resurfacing at the worst possible time.

Good to see Manu taking it to the basket and not settling for the three, since he has been so off from long range.

I said before this series began that he was going to be the key and I still believe that.

Game 5 was not the prettiest of wins but it was a win for the Spurs...glad Ginobili got his game on.

Don't think the Heat will rollover though...Game 6 will be more physical than game 5. Spurs cannot turnover the ball...everyone has to be in game mode.

Heat are the obvious darlings of ESPN.

I love the Spurs and I hope they take them down in game 6.

GO SPURS GO!

Just happens I planned my vacation perfectly! I'm in Ft. Lauderdale with a day trip to Miami planned by my WIFE for.....you guessed it.....tomorrow. Now I just have to figure out a plan for a late departure and have some championship tickets accidentally come available. Wish me luck!

I've heard that Joey Crawford is officiating tonight so make plans for Game 7. The NBA has. I just hope the other one isn't on Thursday night. Maybe the Spurs should rest their players for the big showdown Thursday. The NBA wants the Heat to win.

Huge mistake by Popovich there - Miami got 2 key offensive rebounds with Duncan on the bench that led to 6 points and now we're in OT.

Manu and his **** cost them the game today. They were -19 with him on the floor with his 8 turnovers. He whines like a tittybaby on every call, even the ones the Spurs were given by the refs.

Parker didn't exactly do SA any favors either.

I think the major contributing factor at the very end of Game 6 was Danny Green totally out of position on Lebron's 3-pointer that put them within 3. He was walking back up the floor when he realized that SA didn't get the rebound.

Miami wins game 7 by 103-100. Unfortunately refs blew a non call by Allen on Manu in the last second which could be costly for the Spurs.

The noncall on Manu was nullified by the noncall on Lebron on the other end. Manu shouldn't have been taking 3 steps into a crowded lane anyhow.

The non call on LeBron was correct as was the review that gave the Spurs the ball because he touched it last. And Manu travelled before the foul occurred anyway.
